A: Yes, there are two types: AC/AC and AC/DC.

  • Power comes from the wall socket (AC) then transferred with the same voltage via an inverter.
  • This type is mainly used to protect industrial equipment.

AC/DC
  • Efficient on facilities with critical processes and systems which require the highest level of the power supply without fail.
  • An example of this is a laptop, the PC was already built in with a DC UPS.
